I had a Cayman on loan for 3 days, and covered 500 miles in that time.
Here's my !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and a video tour of the interior. It's bright red!

That's 27 physical buttons in a very small space.

Great video. It's a good thing they have the digital readout on speed because in town it is very common to have to go as slow as 10 mph. On a US military base you have to be at or under the speed limit, never over it, so again important. The analog speedo seems like a guide vs an actual instrumentation gauge.
Let's say someone bought the car with the leather covering everywhere, I would be concerned about it in 15 years. Will it hold up? How would it be repaired? This is not an inconsequential question, many Porsche owners hold on their cars for a long time. Not everyone puts them on lease and turns them in every three years. What are your thoughts on how the interior will last?

Leather can be cared for, and 'fed' and treated, to keep it supple.
Plastics take less care, but once they do start to degrade, they aren't as restorable.
It is just a matter of vigilance and maintenance... and not parking the car outside it's entire life. (and uv-blocking tint helps a bit. I believe there are newer tints that are IR and UV rejecting, but visible-spectrum optically clear, mostly used on architecture.)

My '86 Porsche has velour seats which have held up well with only one tear. My '98 BMW has full leather and the interior is pretty much perfect, apart from the fact it still has a cassette player!

Yup. The dash top on my '86 has cracked, as they all do

Thank you, good sir

My 2000 BMW E46's leather is holding up also. It needs to be cleaned, but it is good. As you pointed out, the trick is not storing it in the sun. We're thinking about a new Cayman and I was configuring the interior for the full-leather in a deep chocolate color. I have to imagine us enjoying it as little old people a few decades from now!

Lovely. I do like the red. Porsche don't do subtle colours. Make sure to spec media package for iPhone integration. Manual is great fun but long 2nd gear not ideal for twisty roads, unless you get an S (extra torque).

Yes, but well placed. The old Range Rover Sport was filled with buttons - as if they were fired from a blunderbuss and it was hard to work out what did what. Also, they cover some functions that are hidden in infoscreens in some cars and are 2 menus deep

Certainly! Thanks for the video
